Advice needed

To cut a long story short, after many years of doctors scratching their heads, shrugging shoulders and saying I don't know mate, probably anxiety or stress or something, my latest specialist (whom I have been very impressed with) clearly thinks it is CFS as I have virtually all the possible symptoms and have had many tests which have come back normal e.g. - echo cardiogram, ECG's 24hr ECG Stress test, x-rays and a whole load of blood tests.

Symptoms include:

Chest tightness and pressure
Head/ neck tightness and pressure
Shortness of breath
heart beating very fast when I stand
vision problems
Palpitations
Chronic tiredness and fatigue
Nausea
Headaches
depression,
mood swings
Stomach problems Ė gut pain/loose motions (though this may be caused by medication)
Muscle pains

All this started when I was 25 (am now 31) with some heart palps which scared me to death though looking back some symptoms such as depression, tiredness, headaches etc had been there for much longer, just didn't think too much about it.

Treatment so far has been Ativan which is the only drug that seems to force my muscles (neck/chest) to relax when they start to clamp up which causes much discomfort). Have been taking them for 5 years or so Ďcause nothing else works for me. Have also been taking Tramadol as it gives me a lift though Iím coming off those for obvious reasons. Iím hoping my specialist will prescribe a stimulant as I feel so tired all the time, sometimes unable to function at all which is not an option with a young family and a job.
She is trying me on a new type of SSRIs after trying quite a few already.

Can anyone think of anything I could try or suggest. I have tried a type of antiviral med after seeing some positive info on it as a possible treatment, though no look.

Safe to say this has screwed my life up and Iím worried it will take a great toll on my life span. It has placed a strain on my marriage and soured what has been a very interesting life otherwise.

Re: Advice needed

That definetly does sound like chronic fatigue, i've had chronic fatigue for almost two years now and i've been to a rehab program for it as well which really helped. really the only thing that can help chronic fatigue is to change your lfestyle, no matter how tired you are, get up at normal times and go to bed at normal times, do moderate excercise every day and try to eat healthy and not too many foods with sugar. if you do have a good doctor for chronic fatigue then he/she will give you some sort of plan or routine to live by.
