Did your doctor first try to eliminate other possible causes for your symptoms? For example, muscle and joint pain could be arthritis. And exhaustion could be caused by disrupted sleep or "sleep apnea". Sweating and dizziness could be caused by dehydration.
Perhaps one thing, like sleep apnea, might trigger the others.
What did your doctor suggest that you do? Did he/she suggest any form of treatment?
its not arthritis as i had blood tests done for it.The doctors never suggested sleep apnea im on sleeping tablets for insomnia.I recently moved doctors back to my old doctor and a doctor in his practice has been trying me on anti-inflammatorys which only help a tiny bit.Im going to see the main doctor on tuesday.I dont think its dehydration i drink a lot of fluids.
I know just what you are going through. I have been suffering from this for about a year now. I found large doses of prednisone (100 tablets) helped me when I had to go overseas, but as soon as the medicine wears off, back comes the fatigue and pain. I am also suffering from fybromyalgia. My specialist has given me a pain killer, but I have only been on it for 5 days, so have not seen any improvements yet.
CFS is not a mental health problem. I would try another doctor. Is he saying you are depressed? Because I was put on anti-depressants and it never helped. It is linked to stress though.

How did your doctor arrive at this diagnosis? Was it a process of elimination? Is there a specific test for CFS?

low appetite....nausea
How about diet? Wouldn't that be something worth looking at? Is it possible you may be eating something that may have an adverse effect on your system? Or, could there be something missing from your diet? Some nutrient? Most doctors are not nutritionists or dietitions.
Could "low appetite" cause you to eat too few calories or the "wrong" foods? And could "low appetite" translate to low energy and fatigue? If there's any possibility, it should be explored.

hello there. i have also experienced chronic fatigue for a while now(5 Years) until now. The best thing that you can do is have a hair analysis done so that you can see if there are heavy metals that are too high in the body. i have excessive amounts of copper in my system that are causing a chain reaction of problems in the body, with the outcome being "chronic fatigue" you might have this or another type of heavy metal in the body that blocks certain minerals from working as they should. this causes deficiency of minerls and vitamins, which as i said before, causes a major chain reaction through out the body. You need to find a naturopath or a nutritional medicine doctor that does a hair analysis cause im not sure if all of them do it. Remember this, medication is only masking what is truly going on in the body. for everything, think about finding the root cause, not treat the symptom as medication mainly does.
