Myers (Meyers) Cocktail...anyone tried it?
I have dealt with chronic fatigue for 20+ years (basically, my entire adult life). I've noticed it seems cyclical and I probably would have benefited more from keeping a diary to track it but I've noticed I feel better when I'm living a somwhat strict healthy lifestyle (staying away from all refined carbs and sugar products, working out faithfully and no alcohol). But even then, the fatigue has never gone away completely and the mental foggyness and poor concentration is always there, just worse when I eat poorly.
I've gone through so many tests with several specialists, including for sleep apnea, allergy testing, thyroid (plenty of times), adrenal fatigue, etc.. Since last Sept. I've had a number of issues seemingly one after another, some that I've never experienced before and it all seems to be pointing to bacteria or something going on internally. I had intestinal issues, allergies so severe that I missed alot of work and they turned into ear infections, bronchitis, and vertigo, toenail flaking, tooth infection (ended up extracting), etc. I even quit my coffee habit (I drink ALOT) thinking that was the culprit but it didn't do a thing.
I just recently started going to a new doctor and when I told him all that's been going on, he suggested trying thi Myers cocktail which is an IV solution of vitamins transmitted intraveneously. He was hesitant to suggest as he stated so many people don't believe in progressive type health care. The way I look at it, I think everything is related and what have I got to lose when all else has failed? He also suggested yogurt/probiotics daily and to think about going on a yeast-cleanse diet.
Has anyone else gone this route and has it been successful? I'm hopeful that this will help once and for all.
