Some diagnosis questions

Hello everyone, I am new to the boards so here goes the question...
How were you diagnosed with CFS??

Short version...I have been sick since January/February they did the normal tests lymes, thyroid, mono, vitamin levels.Turned out it said I had an auto immune problem my c3/c4 test was positive, ANA positive, sed rate keeps rising. My vitamin levels were all good. Further tests no Lupus, no vitamin D or b deficiency.

They diagnosed me finally with fibromyalgia and the meds do not seem to be working. The Lyrica has helped with the brain fog but thats about it. Also on voltaran, Tramadol, and paxil.

I am exhausted and I basically just woke up after doing nothing since Thursday, I feel like I have the flu all the time. I for no reason got MRSA (confirmed) treated with antibiotics.

I am wondering if I have CFS, I see my Rheumatologist on Friday but I am curious about your symptoms and how it is treated.

Thanks in advance for reading and any info you can provide.

Re: Some diagnosis questions

Hi

I spent months figuring this out, but after $2000 and a lots of docters I was diagnosed with Hashimotos. They usually do not check for that, so maybe you could ask them to test for "Thyroid Antiboddies". They get triggered by a complex mixture of an underlying viral infection and a decreased immune system (stress in other words ) What also helped me a lot was diet changes and lifestyle changes.

I would really suggest you keep on testing. I just was not happy with what the doctors were telling me so I kept on searching until I found an answer. It was a very expensive journey, but at least now I know what went wrong.
