Dear Pain Management Support Group (there are so many folks I could list!),
My parents, one brother, and I are going on a short vacation to our place in Michigan on Lake Huron (near Bad Axe and Pt. Austin). We have a place that's been in our family for years, and my brother has not had a chance to go with us in a long time.
So, I will not get a chance to do the reading I always enjoy from the participants on this board. I'll be back during the second week of September, and please know that my personal prayer list is going with me.
Is there room in your suitcase? If I can't go to Superior, I'll take Michigan. Enjoy the weather in the Midwest. Where else would one want to be this time of the year?
Have a great time Jon. It's good for the soul to get back to nature. I so enjoy being in or near the woods. That's where I thrive. And I bet your place up there is perfect. Gonna be a bit cool? I bet it will. I've been watching temps in the northern NY area, like Lake Placid and I'm seeing temps in the high 30s and 40s already. But isn't that so nice? Warm days and crisp nights. The bugs are dead and the humidity is gone. Perfect time of year.
I envy you just a bit. I've got a bit more time before vacation. (every time I type that word, I want to follow it with "in the summer time!") Only the old folks like me might recognize that reference!
When you are returning from your trip, I will have just left for mine, so I'll say "have a great trip!" and "welcome back!", all at once!
As to Steve's reference to the cooler weather.... we've been seeing low 40's at night, here in the Adirondacks, for the last two weeks. And frankly, for me, it's been pure heaven. It's my favorite time of year!
Have a wonderful trip. I know I feel the same as Steve about the woods and the water, etc. I also love the Northeastern Coast at this time of the year. (We're going to Maine) Enjoy spending time with your family, especially your brother. I'm sure it will be nice to be able to share memories with him, since he hasn't been there in quite some time. Have a safe trip. We'll miss you. Hugs, CMP/MM
