Re: watson sandoz patches
I have used fentanyl patches since the end of 1996 (or so). I have used Duragesic, Watson (when I was in a pinch), Sandoz, and Mylan. For me, the Mylan was equal to one of the circles of hell written about in Dante's Inferno. Why? The Mylan is the patch that doesn't contain a medication reservoir--the medication is mixed with the adhesive that holds the patch in place. For some reason, this did not work on me. So, not only did my pain return, but I went through withdrawal--all because the fentanyl stopped entering my body in any meaningful way.
The Duragesic, Watson, and Sandoz all have the medication reservoirs (the goo inside the patch). I have used Sandoz since they came out--except for the one time I was forced to use Watson when my pharmacy was having difficulty obtaining the Sandoz for a while. The Watson patches worked very well. The Duragesic worked very well. The Sandoz work very well--and that's the version I stick with!
Again, the Mylan function differently than the others due to the manner in which they are contructed. MANY PEOPLE swear by the Mylan, so I don't mean to put anyone down. It's just that they did not work on me.
