Latest test results etc.

Huge suprise - no gallstones or liver abnormalities (not). I'll be talking to the Dr's office probably tomorrow to see where we go from here. Everything points to a mucleoskelatal (sp?) problem. I guess we'll see where it goes from there.

Re: Latest test results etc.

Sky and Sammy,

Thanks guys. It is getting a bit frustrating. I was able to get an appt to see my doc after work on Wed. Hopefully the negative result on the gallbladder and liver will be enough to get the CT scan the doc really wanted OK'd. If not I'll probably have to have some other test that won't tell us anything other than what it's not. I'm back to seeing the massage therapist once a week. One of the students that just started her clinicals has a really good light touch. She worked on me last week and although I was a little sore the next day things were good for a couple of days after that, it's the one thing other than the meds that seems to help.

Thinking of you. I do understand the hoops we have to jump thru for insurance is a pain. I have done this myself. I pray that you soon receive closure and have an answer to your pain once and for all.

Re: Latest test results etc.

Hi all!

I saw my doc yesterday afternoon. She is going to consult with a radiologist to see what test will likely show the most information and then will try to get the ins to OK that. It might take a bit to get arranged, but hopefully something will show up that will at least tell us what's going on. Something is causing a lot of inflammation and swelling in the rib area. At least then she can determine how to treat or hopefully cure it.

Tigger that sounds like a smart move on your doctors part. I am curious to see what test is recommended. I am with you my friend.

Re: Latest test results etc.

My Dr. finally got approval for a CT scan - it's scheduled for this afternoon. It will probably be a week or so at least before I get the results. At least we're finally moving forward.

Re: Latest test results etc.

Tig I hope something shows in this CT but if not there are more tests in your future. What ever it takes to help find what is causing you all this. I will keep an eye out for those results. God bless, Sammy
