Hi All! Sorry I have not been around but lets just say that discogram was not the most pleasant test I have been thru. I wanted to let you know that I will not be around much the next couple of weeks because I am scheduled for surgery on Monday. Yep, Dec 8th.
So if you could say a prayer or two I would appreciate it. I will have my hubby post a message after the surgery letting you know I made it thru.
I am having a XLIF. They make two incisions 6 inches on the side, hammer/chisel out the disk, remove the disk, insert a cage with bmp, and add plates and screws if possible on the side to help stabilize the spine. This is supposedly the best method for those of us who refuse to fuse. If I continue to have problems after this surgery, they will do one last major surgery thru the stomach one day and then the next day they will do the backside. So if you could pray that this does the trick I would appreciate it.

wow Pepper that was fast. I would have been in this week with you if my husband & surgeon had their way, but I will be here for you & prayers are on the way. Your surgeon really got you in pretty quick there. I so hope we will be celebrating the success of this surgery & I have a good feeling. I will watch for an update from your husband.
