Hello. I'm new to this site but am not new to pain! I've had FM for 12 years and am currently in my second battle with costocondritis. When I first had costro I never thought I could have such pain agin in my life. How wrong was I?
I teach secondary school english in a school under special measures. Unfortunately, I raise my voice a great deal. I'm wondering if this is what has brought on this latest bout of pain. I went to the surgery today due to breast tenderness and one the dr started pressing and prodding, the pain began. I was in agony, screaming each time the dr touched me. I've been referred to hospital for an ultra sound scan but am wondering really if I should even bother as I know it's cc. My fm has waxed and waned over the years but for the last 4 years or so, i've been almost pain free!!!! I've had nothing big happen to trigger the pain this time but as I posted, I do alot of raising my voice. Perhaps I have aggrivated my ribs and or chest wall.
Anyone else find raising their voice alot bringing on pain??
