| Embeda Recall
Has anyone heard about the recent Embeda recall? I rec'd a call from my pharmacist yesterday telling me that Embeda has recalled certain lots of the medication and that mine had been affected. I had to bring in my remaining medication to be switched with a replacement of the same medication but a different lot #. Has anyone heard of anyone having any undesirable side affects? Looking to compare with some that I have had to see if it is related to the meds.
I spoke to my doctor today and convinced him that I truly do not want to be on this medication. I would rather be on nothing and suffer in complete agony (and it would be) than to take that wicked medicine. Since he first mentioned it I had that ominous feeling. After doing some research it only got worse. I trust my doctor completely and he convinced me to try it anyway but I have asked him once since being on it to take me off. Now that there has been the recall, I do not just wish to be off of it, I am now off of it! (as of this afternoon anyway) It is just too risky for this type of class of meds to have to fear your medications and that is how I felt with Embeda.
I hope others are doing well with it if you like it. For me, it wasn't effective at relieving my pain either. Perhaps because of this recall and the way it wasn't dissolving properly? I don't know honestly. But my pharmacist was in full agreement with me on getting off of it.
