Need to find a doc that is not super paranoid..not getting enough pain meds to help
I have been sick for so long and on opiates for about eight years. I really need the name of a doc that is not afraid to write for what the patient needs. I live in Marietta, GA, but would travel up to about 100 miles if the doctor is really good enough. I have found a good doc is simply too hard to find. Anyone with any info, please reply asap as I am suffering and ready to get help.
Thanks,
lindsey

I have heard some other people who suffer tell stories that they found their PM guy who does use opiate therapy by joining one of these online physician referral services, like eclinicmd.
If you search for that phrase you'll get hundreds of results.
Now....they cost approx. $100 a month + what the doctor charges.
IMO: They're scavengers and bottom feeders profiting from the suffering of others, but most are well connected.
Doctors are ppl too with all those bad characteristics like....unbridled greed.
That could go on to eternity, or you get a sympathetic doctor who might take you on a a non-referral service patient.
You can quit whenever you want ya know.
Once you get caught in the trap of opiate therapy though, the costs of quitting get pretty steep.

If you simply do a Google search for pain management doctors in Atlanta, GA tons of docs pop up, have you tried contacting any of these? That might be your best bet.

Just be careful to make sure you find someone that is legit. Remember, you are not only trusting them with your health, but also your personal information, and a lot of the clinics I have been too I wouldn't trust with my ex-wife.
I just moved to Orlando, but in Atlanta I was going to Pain Management Atlanta, really nice people, and went the extra mile to make sure I was ok. I think the lady there was Loree.
Now that I am living in Florida I have tried a few, but its REALLY bad down here. Some of these places... lets just leave it at that. For now I am using Wellquest Health and they seem to be working out, recommended from a friend. Oh, and the girl that checks me in... wow =)
Good Luck!

Are you requiring some complex or dangerous medication cocktail?
Find an Advanced Practice Psychiatric/Mental-Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP), I've always been a fan of good Nurse Practitioner in private practice. They can, and will, write you for anything. They will also have the common sense of a GP.
