She said that its "better to up the dose rather then to change the meds" can it possiblely be from me being 22? does age have anything to do with it? I've had a catscan done in 08 from a previous car accident and it came up negitve. but before the 30th car accidents i still have pains that go threw out my day and also keep me up at night. my left leg goes numb to the toe and get pains through my body and expecially my ares, i feel like riipping them off. i dont know any help woud be appriciated!

Ellis, I have no idea why she would change your meds if you were doing fine with what you were on. It surely has nothing to do with your ins. unless the cost of the meds you were on were too much and you said something. What kind of doctor are you seeing? It might be good to see a spine specialist such as an ortho or neuro to see what they can do for you.
Hello Ellis,
I'd really like to help but I'm confused. I've lost track of your question. Could you please let us know what your question is.
Thanks.
Peggy
I would go to a pain management specialist or a neurologist.
Have you tried Lyrica? If it is nerve pain, which it sounds like, that is a great med to use. Also Neurotin.
Some doctor's are very leary about giving out drugs. The DEA is always watching which doctor's give out pain meds freely. I know because I use a pain management doctor for 8 years for my Fibromyalgia and Spinal Stenosis and every year the DEA comes down to take a sample of urine and test that what the doctor gives out to his patients are what shows up in the urine. That is what it has come to because some doctors use it to make money and literally get their patients hooked on the drugs like a drug dealer. You find this especially in Florida where I live.
