Hi, I am someone who takes hydrocodone regularly. I cant get it now because I don't have insurance.
All I want to know is how do people cope with not having it when they really want it. I feel depressed and like useless without it. I don't know what to do anymore. I feel sick that I have to depend on it!! I hate myself. Is there any advice anyone can give me? Pleae help!! Thank you.
Interesting that you said "I want it" . But you feel sick if you don't have it. Coming off an addictive med is hard! yes you will feel sick, it will be hard, but there is light at the end of the tunnel. I know, I'm a former addict. The best feeling in the world is getting rid of what you "want", and getting what you need - which is being addictive free. Your depression is directly assoicated with your addiction, you WILL (in time) feel SO much better once it is totally out of your system. YOU CAN DO IT...but you really have to deep down deep and WANT to stop.
I sincerely hope you find your way....
Hi there i read your post and i wanted to say i don't know if your dr prescribes the hydrocodone but if he/she does then that must mean you NEED it.Also as long as you keep getting the generic brand(hydrocodone) not NAME brand such as Lortab or Vicodan then you shouldn't have any problem buying it because it is NOT an expensive drug, i know this as i had both of my knees replaced and that is what the dr prescribed for me.Also even if the dr does write the RX for name brand you can ALWAYS ask the pharmacist for generic and it is CHEAP!!! Best of luck to you and i hope i was able to help some. TAKE CARE!!!!
Another thing, if you take this drug because you have some serious medical need for it, then you can also price match at most chain pharmacy's. Generally walmart is the cheapest, so if you call and get their price, then when your take you RX to your pharmacy, just tell them that at walmart it's $xx.xx and they'll call and check it and give it to you for that amount.
Now on the other hand if you have decided to quit taking this med. and are set on detoxing you need to make sure that's your decision. Because detoxing one month and then taking it the next.....that's a nasty rough cycle to get on.
