Thumbs up please answer...what temperature is a fever?

my internist who is my regular physician and my allergist all agree that a real fever is 101 and over. 100-101 is a low grade fever. anything below 100 is not fever. can i take this to be correct information? also a flu-like illness has a higher fever like 101-103 right? a body temperature in the 99's isn't flu like?
thanks!
