Horrible Fatigue Since Cold

I'm a 30 year old female. I got a cold about 2 weeks ago. The few days before the cold, I started to get really tired and knocked out. Then I got the cold, went through the sore throat, sniffles, coughing and the whole bit. I was finished with the cold after 3 days. But, ever since, I have been knock-down, drag out tired. I feel so lethargic and heavy. Getting up in the morning has been a struggle. It feels like I am coming out of anesthesia. I decided to start exercising in the mornings, and that made my fatigue even worse. I can't keep my eyes open half the day. If I take naps throughout the day I am fine. If I keep moving, I am OK enough to keep myself awake. My words are getting jumbled alot, I am forgetting things. I have headaches and a lot of movement seems to induce nausea. Something is just not right. The minute I sit down-I'm toast. I feel liek my arms and legs are melting into the chair. And I'm constantly yawning too. Anybody know what this might be?

I don't know what is wrong, but maybe you have mono or pneumonia. I'm not sure, but I am sure you probably are getting sick of this, why don't you call your doctor and get in for a check-up. feel better soon!

Re: Horrible Fatigue Since Cold

I just wanted you to know that I live in Montana and there was an influenza back in November go through here, and ever since then the people that had developed that have been extremely lethargic ever since. So your not alone. The Dr.s don't know what to do for it, except to say that it takes time to rebuild your strength back up. I could sleep all day long, its horrible. If you find an answer, let me know, and vice versa. Also, you should maybe have your Dr. run a complete blood test to rule out anemia?

Maybe I got a connection!! I was sick a little over a week ago and ever since I got hit with an extreme tiredness. To the point I forget things, get words messed up and even sitting at the computer I am just so Out of it. Extremely tired. I am not sure what it is due to. I eat very poorly and I dont drink any liquids. I get enough sleep at night. 8-10 hours normally. I am looking for an explanation. I talked to my doc yesterday and she told me to try eating better and see how that goes. I am so tired of being tired.
