| is anyone else here allergic to the flu shot?
A few years ago I found out that I am actually allergic to the flu shot, so is my dad. When i was 14 I went in for a regular dr visit and my dr kept pestering my dad about giving me the flu shot. My dad kept saying that I am probably allergic to it just like he is. The dr kept saying that nothing would happen to me etc. My dad agreed finally after about an hour of them going back and forth. After he gave me the shot he told my dad that if I am allergic to it in 14 days I will get an extreme fever etc. Well 14 days later i had a fever of over 105. And since I am diabetic it didnt go good with me. I was throwing up so much that I ended up with ketones even though my number was staying around 50. My step-mom took my sister in for a dr visit-dragged me with them- and i kept passing out on the floor. The dr wanted to see me but she refused cause she didnt want me to be seen (she hated me at the time). well anyways I just wanted to know if anyone else was allergic to it and how you found out
