How long does this D*mn Flu last - Colds & Flu Message Board

At first I thought I just had a cold but 3 days in I realised I got hit with the flu. I'm super weak, achey, high fevers and have been having diahrea (can't spell) on and off for a few days now. All total it's been about 7 days of being sick. I had a few days I thought I was almost better but then would be sick as heck again the next day. So all I want to know is how long does this flu last. Anyone gotten over it.

So far others I've talked to have said it's hung on for a couple weeks. One man actually got the flu was sick for awhile, passed it onto his wife who after being sick for awhile passed it back to him.

if you take care of yourself...adequate rest, no alcohol, lots of fluids...take meds,,should go in 7-10 days. IF your liek me and party all the time dont drink enoug water and not enough sleep it will keep coming back. I havnt got the flu but I have had the cold about 3 times since oct this yr,
