Post Swollen tonsils, but no pain

I have huge tonsils thanks to years of strept throat infections as a kid, but now they seem to be getting bigger. My right tonsil appears slightly larger than the left one, but not enough for me to be worried that it might be something other than an infection of some sort... I don't feel particularly sick, just run down and tired most of the time. I have some constant post-nasal drip that seems to be there, but it's not bad. The weird thing is when I lay on my left side, I can feel my right tonsil sliding over and it makes it hard for me to breath. I caught myself snoring tonight, too... Woke up with a huge snort, which I think is a sign of sleep apnea.

All of this is just coming on in the last few days. I'm bewildered by the fact that I don't feel sick. In the past, the moment my tonsils get inflamed, I'm sick as a dog for days. Has anyone experienced this before?

Question

I have the same symptoms, My right tonsil is extreamly large and is pressing on the back of my thoat causing me to cough a whole lot. I am a little worried. It happened overnight it seems, No pain but large and also causeing a nasal drip, anyone have any more information about it. I am going to an ENT specialist about it. Should I be extreamly concerned?

I used to have the same problem. Years of getting strep throat and tonsilitis scarred my tonsils and made them chronically infected. I never got sick, but my tonsils would fill up with this nasty cheese-like substance. I had a tonsillectomy three years ago at the age of 34. ENT who did the surgery said my tonsils were very enlarged and full of infection. I'm sure I could have continued on as is, but I was very self conscious that the tonsil matter was giving me horrible bad breath.
