Post Catching a fever

How exactly do you catch a fever? (not by hanging around someone who's sick)
Just curious.

Re: Catching a fever

You don't really "catch" a fever. If you're sick, either with a viral or bacterial infection, your body's defense mechanisms kick in, and raise your body temperature (fever) to help your body fend off the illness you have.
