Hello everyone!
Well it's winter and for us college students living in close quarters in dorms it means almost constant sickness too!
Anyway...about 5 days ago I woke up to my throat having a painful "burning" sensation. As the day got wore on it turned into full sharp pain. Both my tonsils were swollen and has a thin white film on them. My neck glands were swollen and my ears/ upper jaw area hurt. I went to our wellness center and basically said, "it's close to finals. everyone is sick. it's just viral." So I left.
A couple days later I got intense pain and tenderness in my cheekbone area. I was very congested and my throat was still hurting. I also had a fever of 99.8 and a headache. As far as I know there was a little post nasal drip, but not alot. I looked at my tonsils with a flashlight and saw that my right tonsil is huge! It's almost touching the uluva (the dangly thing in the back of your throat)

It has some white patches (flat and white) and still the very thin white membrane. My left tonsil is only a little swollen and has maybe 1 or 2 of these patches. I can't see a doctor until Monday.
I have a couple questions (I know, please bare with me!):
1. Is it possible to have a 1 sided throat/ tonsil infection?
2. Could I have a sinus infection?
3. I'm allergic to the main ingredient in Sudafed, so I can't take anything for my congestion. I tried advil to relieve pain (worked minimually), dehumidifier, and letting our shower room get hot and steamy. These loosend things a little bit, but not as much as I would have hoped. Is there anything else I can do?
Thanks for taking the time to read this!

I hope you all stay healthy!
