Anyone have a bad experience taking Mucinex? - Colds & Flu Message Board

I started taking it and im on day two. The problem I have is im coughing too much and cant even sleep. For anyone that has used this is this common with this product?

No it seems to help me sleep I dont cough as much with it.

Don't like to hear that! I just took my first pill this morning and I swear I'm coughing a whole lot more than before I took it. Hope it helps with the rest of it. I only have some chest congestion and a tickly throat now for three days, don't feel bad just have it. I won't take it tomorrow if this goes rough through the night, as of yet I've had no trouble sleeping.

Make sure you all drink plenty of fluids while on Mucinex because your body will need it to make your coughs productive. Being on Mucinex usually changes my cough from dry to "juicy" and I usually sleep fine. It also takes away that congested feeling in my head. I love the stuff since I can't take decongestants!
