I need input desperatly!!! - Colds & Flu Message Board

So my fiance is sick. His symptoms are
Sore throat, coughing,stuffy nose, sneezing outrageous amounts of times, coughing and lots and lots of thick mucus. The doctor never seems to be in the damn office and they won't call something in for him because he has never had to be seen before. We have tried a humidifier and all kinds of OTC meds nothing seems to work!

Pretty similar to me. I have all of the above - sometimes sneezing 20, 30,... times (especially at night, early morning). Have strained my back and chest with all the sneezing! Also totally whacked. It's been 4 weeks. Doctor indicated in was full-blown flu, though I'm not 100% convinced as flu has never lasted this long with all of these symptoms.
