Ears are plugged and cough is so bad that my stomach arms and chest hurt.My doctor has givin me ever antibiotic made and none is working! The only thing that helped was the steroid shot! Re: Croup in adults

Antibiotics will not work because croup is viral. You should go to the hospital and get a nebuliser (think thats how you spell it). The steriods don't work for me but is always the first option, but the nebuliser has me feeling better in about 1 hour. The cough disappears almost immediatly and then the other symptoms probably take about 5-10 days to go away completely!

Hope this helps

Re: Croup in adults

Dear ,

Just go for your doctor cuz this kind of infection really a bad and adult croup with a documented parainfluenza type-3 infection. Just concern your doctor and tell him about your medican and Antibiotics will not work.
