how many days should a fever last? my 13 year old son has a severe cough, temp 103.3, with motrin it is 102, some vomiting. he has had a fever now for 4 days. He's taking plenty of fluids.
I would be concerned about pneumonia at this point and would make a visit to the pediatrician asap. Could just be the flu, but better safe than sorry. I hope he's feeling better soon.
Please go to the doctor or ER and make sure they check for pneumonia. With giving motrin it should drop his fever more than 1 degree unless there is a serious infection going on.
