Okay this is kind of a weird situation. About two weeks ago, I caught a nasty bug which at first I assumed was the flu, but later switched my reasoning to believe that it was a stomach bug. On the first and part of the 2nd day, I was running quite a bit of fever, had a bad headache and malaise (felt weak, crappy etc), and a sour stomach. The first symptoms got better by the 2nd half of the 2nd day, but the stomach got worse - I couldn't eat anything but crackers water and vitamins for about three days. Eventually about 5-6 days into this whole mess I (almost suddenly) got better, and was finally able to eat a good meal. (I had NO stuffy nose or cough during this period.)
Maybe 4-7 days after that, I went to a friend's house - we had a small party between the four of us there, and all three of them managed to get sick but not me. Their symptoms were completely different, however - they had a more typical flu-like symptom set, with fever, coughing, headache, runny nose etc but they did not complain much about stomach problems.
Is it likely that they caught the virus from me and it had a completely different symptom set on all three of them than it did for me? If they all got sick, I should have as well unless they got what I had in which case I'd be immune. But the completely different symptom set makes me wonder if maybe I was just really lucky and didn't catch whatever made them sick.
Maybe someone who's a doctor or the like can shed some light on this
