All I know is, a lot of people are getting colds and respiratory viruses that are lasting weeks... I guess it's common this time of year. What are her symptoms? Any symptoms you are worried about?

What's going around is nasty! Seriously! I was in bed for 6 days with a fever, body aches REALLY bad sore throat. I was SO SICK!! Then I went on antibiotics. Now another week has gone by. My tummy has been queesy. I still have sinus trouble. I am SO TIRED I can barely function. So what I am trying to say is that don't be suprised if this crud is lingering. I am so sorry you daughter is sick. This has been a terriable cold and flu season. I am just so weary of it. I hope and pray she feels better real soon! Keep us posted!

i live in ny...i dont know what this sickness is going around! Horrid...sick as dag with fever, sweats and a non-stop, and i mean non-stop cough. My 10 yr. old got it ...and two days later i did. The school nurse did note kids are getting this..its a really bad bug..i have heard a couple of weeks. Last winter she had something similiar for 6 weeks...no one ever figured it out but it went away...doctors just say they are seeing it but dont know what it is thats cauing it. Tests negative for the flu and had a hugh work up and just notes viral.

I think it is viral. I am pretty sure it is. Everyone I know that has gotten it..gets hit hard and it has to run its course. Although some antibiotics can help some of the symptoms out. Like I thought mine was turning into strep so I asked for antibiotics. Now I am afraid my hubby and I are getting colds again. I hear him sneezing in the other room. I just can't wait till we can all open up the windows are air this bug out of here.
