I had a low grade fever two weeks ago. For a day, my only symptoms were fever, slight chills and some aches. The next day, I had some sneezing, sinus pressure and a headache. I figured I probably had a sinus infection. I was also coughing from the drainage.
Well now two weeks later, the cough hasnt gone away. My chest is congested, and I cough until I gag sometimes. It's one of those coughs that you can't control. It's not very productive though. I only cough up mucus a few times a day, and even then, it's not much. I feel fine otherwise. I was going to take some Delsym to control the cough at night, but I looked up drug interactions, and it seems I can't take it while on Zoloft, even though it's not listed as such on the box. I don't want to take the risk though.
I'm just trying to figure out if this is just one of those lingering coughs that last a while after a cold/flu, or if I have something like walking pneumonia. Help help help!
Are you feeling any better? These stupid coughs can really hang on. I have one too. I'm at the end of a cold. Well at least I thought so. The coughing spells are horrible. Did you see your doctor? If mine doesn't get better in the nextcouple of days I'm going to the doctor. Good luck. Hang in there.

Thanks! I'm still coughing on and off. It's not as bad as when I posted this but still there. My nose is pretty stuffy especially when I wake up in the morning. But I blow it and it clears up pretty well. My chest doesn't hurt like it did, so I think it's just sinus drainage now. My son (17 months) has been really sneezy and snotty off and on since I initially got sick so we might just be passing a cold back and forth. No more fevers though, thank goodness!
Hope you're feeling better too!
