martin66 Newbie (male) Join Date: Nov 2010 Location: edinburgh,milothian,uk. Posts: 1	metal taste after cough i had a chest infection about 3 weeks ago. i was put on ammocacilin for seven days. i have been finnished this course of antibiotics for about 2-3 weeks now, but most times when i cough i get this metal taste coming up from my chest. there is no mucas or anything coming up , just this taste. my chest feels clear, but sometimes when i cough, i go into a fit of coughing to the extent of nearly reching after it.
