supplements to help immune system?

Are there any supplements to help the immune system against a cold? I've had 3 in the last 6 weeks! When I feel the scratchy throat, etc... I start taking echinecea, vitamin c, and cats claw. Is there anything that knocks it out quickly or anything that I should be taking every day to keep me from getting colds?

Twinlab Daily One is a high potency multivitamin which contains good amounts of immune boosting nutrients...... take one each dau with food.

When you get a cold, extra vitamin c can help, but iti isnt of much use in preventing colds.

A good cold and flu remedy, such as Advil Cold and Sinus can make the misery a lot less while nature heals your cold.

Re: supplements to help immune system?

Personally, I would recommend taking at least a multivitamin designed for your age/sex each day. Also, when you feel a cold coming on, the first thing you should do is take a Vitamin C supplement. I always do this when I feel a cold coming on and it helps me to either avoid the cold or makes the cold much more short. Also, Zinc and other Antioxidants are pretty important too. But remember, the body needs A LOT of different vitamins and minerals to stay healthy and the best way to get those is to eat healthy.
