How long can a cold last?
I had a slight cold almost 30 days ago. My nose remains completely congested (much worse at night) and it seems to be worse on the left side. Because I cannot breath ..it is hard for me to sleep. I have no cough or watery eyes or pain of the sinus..just the nasal congestion. I have never had this problem last this long..has anyone else experienced this? BTW, I have taken Mucinex, Claritin, and Zrytec and nothing seems to help for long.

Are you sure it isn't allergies? Seems this year even people like myself who have never had them seem to get plugged VERY easily. Have you ever tried doing a sinus rinse either with a Netipot or what I use...Neilmed? For the most part I have found it to help quite a bit. This does seem to be a year for constant colds or sinus issues.

Are you allergic to anything? Are you working or attending school someplace where other people are suffering from frequent cold symptoms? Let us know! I hope you feel better soon, I'd try JJ's suggestions as well. Maybe some steam!
