About a month ago I started with a mild sore throat. This lasted just a day or two but I developed a cough after that. It first felt like something dripping down the back of my throat and kept me up all night several nights. My cough was very tight and barky. Went to dr who gave me a neb treatment and prescribed zpack and prednisone. Cough hung on and then I developed laryngitis. Dr prescribed another round of prednisone and different antibiotic called something like Cefdnir. Still no better. Still have barky cough and now stuffy nose and run down feeling. Worried it's something more serious. 16 year old son had MRSA on elbow. Could it have anything to do with that? Should I be worried about lung cancer? I'm a 43 year old non smoker. Thanks for any advice!
