Do flu shots prevent you from getting cold symptoms
I got a flu shot about a month ago. Now I've caught something from work. Everybodys got a sore throat plus coughing. I have both but thats it. No fever or anything yet. Are flu shots suppose to prevent you from getting these symptoms? Or are these just common cold symptoms
Re: Do flu shots prevent you from getting cold symptoms
The flu shot protects you against a few viruses that cause more serious respiratory illness, along with high fever. It will not protect you against regular colds.

A flu shot only lessons the symptoms if you were to get the flu - you wouldn't get as severe. They try to match the strand that they think will happen that year.
You probably have that cold that is going around that makes you feel awful all over. I have had leg pain with this stupid cold. I also have shoulder pain. This cold will not leave me.
