Swollen glands I believe someone asked a related question before, but it was slightly different so here goes: I started having cold symptoms last week and was also smoking at the time...I have since quit smoking but the cold stayed. It has now been approximately 5 days and I still have a cold and a cough; the problem is that for the first time, I have a swelling under my jawline on the left side of my neck where it meets my face. From all my research and a phone appointment with an advice nurse, I am concluding that it is a swollen lymph node related to the cold and will go away with time. However, it hurts and feels rather strange on the side of my face/neck. Does anybody know if this is normal or if I should be worried? And if you think it is normal, do you know of anything that will help with the swelling? I would really appreciate any help! Thank you for reading. |
