Hi. I am scheduled to go to a vascular surgeon in early April for a consultation regarding my varicose vein problem. I wanted to compare the prices of initial consultations with others. Please let me know.

I went to a vascular surgeon in December and they charged me $320.00 just for the consultation, I think I was ripped off

Hi. I was told that the consultation would cost $90. However, because I had insurance I still only had to pay the usual specialist copay.

I will be having an ultrasound next week. What does this entail?

When I had an ultrasound done on my legs, they used is the same kind of device that they use to check your breasts. They run this device up and down the veins of your legs to make sure that all the veins are okay. It took about 10 to 15 minutes, it was actually REALLY easy, there's nothing to it.
