Anyone that has had BREAST IMPLANTS please reply..need feedback quick! - Cosmetic / Plastic Surgery Message Board

Hello!
I am going to see a surgeon in about 2 weeks to discuss implants. I would like to know your experiences. What questions should I ask? What do I need to know that surgeons don't tell you? Did you lose feeling in your breasts after surgery? Can you lay on your stomach now? Do you regret doing it or are you happy with the results? The surgeon is very reputable so I am not worried about that. Just would like some info on your personal experiences.
Also, what size where you before and after the surgery? I am not sure what size to go up to. I am an A cup now and would like to be a large B because I am afraid a C would be too large for my size (I am petite) and if they are too large then that could cause more problems, right?

Hi,
I had implants about 10 years ago and since had to have both redone because they firmed up and got very uncomfortable.I went from a b cup to a small d.I don't have the feeling in my right nip like I used to.I can't lay on my stomach either on a hard surface like the floor.I'm not trying to scare you off of having it done but you asked.I would do it again!That was a long time ago,now I'm sure they do things a lot different and they would not give you the trouble I had.Also sometimes your body just wants to reject them.My sister in law just had it done and they look great and she even breast feeds her twins!If it makes you feel better about yourself then go for it,just don't do it to please someone else(like your Husband,boyfriend,etc.)do it for you!!

Blazer...thanks for the reply! I am definitely doing this for ME and me alone. I guess more than anything I am not sure what size to go up to. Also, my gyno is against implants and tried everything to discourage me and scare me. It was ridiculous. I discussed it with several other doctors and they all said it was safe. She is just against against that makes women "sex objects". I felt like I was at a feminist convention, she didn't even get that I am doing this for MY self esteem. Also, do you know if implants have any MAJOR complications when it comes to breast exams? what do they have to do differently to women w/ implants than without them?

I had implants done 4 years ago,with a lift,the best thing I ever done! I went from a flabby B to an awesome DD!!! They look great.Go bigger than what you think,because once all the swelling goes away,you will wish you had.trust me! I had to go back for a second surgery to get my desired look,many women do.I do NOT have any feeling in certain parts of my breast,but I still do not regret it one bit...My gyno,a male,was against me having it done also!
