Hey NASCAR! I had an augmentation done in April 2003 by Dr. Garth Fisher, here in Bev Hills. Of course, everyone thinks that the cost in Beverly Hills is a little high, but I found it to be very comparable to any of the highly recommended surgeons in our neck of the woods. The total cost was $8400.

I was a difficult patient, due to very taught skin and pecs. I have no children, so there was no stretching and the procedure took the same amount of time and work as a lift w/implants. I'd say that you will be looking for a cost of anywhere from $7500 to $9500, for a very good surgeon. Fisher was great and was the same kind and professional person that he seemed to be on Extreme Makeover, although I never watched it before my surgery.

There are many great doctors in So Cal. The best thing is to get a referral from someone who recently had a procedure. The problem for me was that the only referral that I got was from a friend who I think has a VERY unnatural looking result. They are very high on her chest and very pointy. One of her nipples is somewhat off center, too. So, I stayed away from that doctor!

I ended up going to Dr. Fisher because my husband had done such extensive research on the best of the best. Having major surgery and having foreign objects intentially left in your body is no time to bargain shop. Plus, you need to have total faith in the doctor's ability to deliver a safe, natural result. That, I felt right away with mine. I don't like people who try to sell me on something. You should always be the one doing the talking, unless they are educating you on the procedure and product involved. Otherwise, their job is to listen to you , then explain IF they can and HOW they will meet your expectations.

I was excited and terrified all at the same time. But, when you know that someone has all bases covered and they've explained what you can expect and what you shouldn't expect, you will know you are with the right doctor. Oh, the rest of the staff should be impeccable also. If they are rude or negative in any way, seriously consider meeting another doctor.
