Exclamation Reply to: What to expect from Plastic Surgery-

Hello Lurker,

First of all I have to say that being a teenager is a difficult time any ways. A lot of what you feel about yourself today may change as you experience more in life. You may want to check out this link on Body Dysmorphic disorder first - http://www.****.org/youth/dysmorphic.html
Plastic surgery can work wonders to build self esteem if the surgeon is skilled, and thus the operation successful. Having said that you have to find a place within yourself that can accept that change (improvement if blessed). In other words, surgery will never change bad experiences you have had. One might think that it is better to accept yourself the way you were born first inorder to be completely happy. Otherwise PS becomes an obsession to lay under the knife again and play Russian Roulette. So to answer you question about What to expect from Plastic Surgery? Expect that you will not gain instant lovers, or friends and the world as a whole won't really care or treat you any better. Treat yourself with kindness and think long and hard before you make a decision you may regret.

Best of luck,

Mel.

It's true. You are totally right. Although I never had any troubles making friends or even having a few girlfriends. Problem is that I hate being considered the "nice" guy that every girl wants to be friends with while they go for the good looking macho. Yeah, I know this is old argumet but it totally sucks. I also hate being loved only for what's inside. Sure, I do get told AFTER they manage to know me how funny and sensitive, blah blah blah, I am but those qualities never get you noticed in the first place. I thought about this for a while and realized that good looks will always get you through life easier and make it more enjoyable. I believe that people that say that only what's inside counts, are kind of hypocrites since a great smile on a beautiful face always helps Thanks for your great advice. I took an appointement with a private doctor and wanted to make myself an idea of what to expect from him.

Thanks again.

I think you're making a really good decision, hon. If theres one thing i dont get, its guys that complain that they dont get any women, yet as they complain they're sitting there with glasses, fat bodies, real white looking, and they throw themselves at girls, making themselves look so desperate its hard to hold one's lunch down. the problem is a lot of guys don't consider that their looks might be the problem (leaving the nice guy thing aside), because they dont consider looks important for men. they think women are the only ones that can be attractive. the word 'male' and 'attractive' dont belong in the same sentence for them. women are always fretting about the way they look, but ugly men dont seem to get it. they just sit there complaining. so i'm glad you finally get it and are deciding to improve your looks and get the girl. very wise choice. i would also strongly recommend getting contacts, if you have glasses, and using a little tan-in-a-bottle to complete the look. and wipe your tongue off with a paper towel from the very back to ensure good breath. above all though, you've got to show the ATTITUDE that you dont give a damn whether girls want you, or even think about you. you've got to have that image of independence. its essential. being needy is a huge turn off. and also, dont be too nice, cause nice guys are a turn off too. i'd say the attitude is even more important than the nose job, cause i've been repulsed by guys looks before, and then after seeing how confident and sure-headed they were, i had the biggest crushes on them. so a little attitude goes a long way. but the nose job wont hurt at all.
i wish more guys GOT IT. good luck.
