HELP! Need info on lip augmentation. Anybody had it? - Cosmetic / Plastic Surgery Message Board

I have the thinnest lips of anybody I know. My PS said that he would not reccomend an implant because there have been instances of them breaking through the skin. He also wouldn't do fat transfer or collogen because of the expense and short term results. Anybody have any new info for me? or experience to share?

I had a great ps in South Africa before I moved to Beverley Hills who did a PERMANENT lip augmentation for me - he removed a layer of skin (where I had an appendix scar) and the layer of fat beneath it and put it into my upper lip. Two years later it is still there, looks totally natural, and feels soft, not hard or lumpy. I would think this is the best way to have it done. I am sure some US doctors do it. too.

Thank you very much. Could you tell me the doctors name? I'm sure I can find a surgeon in the US who would consult with him if I can't find one familior with the procedure.

Unless your lips are super, super thin, I wouldn't get them thickened. That procedure often diminishes one's natural lip curl, which is the TRUE beauty in a person's lips. I've seen such ugly lip augmentations, i've wanted to gag.
Just wear lipstick.
