Bad Breast Reduction/Infection - Cosmetic / Plastic Surgery Message Board

I am 1 year post-op breast reduction. I am looking for answers conserning an infection after the surgery that almost cost me my life. I suffered from pseudomonas, mrsa and cellulitis. I had a large hematoma post-op, the area of the hematoma is where the infection began ultimately leaving me with a very large painful open wound. If anyone has had similar problems or may know where I can find answers regardng post-op infection please let me know. This was by far the worst experience of my life, not only did I get a life threating infection that my surgeon chose to ignore until I was so sick I had to be hosptialized but also had an IV for 7 wks a second surgery and months of wound care. I was left disfigured and treated very badly by the people who were suppose to care for me. What happened to the Dr.s Oath (ha ha)

I am so sorry and disturbed to hear of this happening to you. I wish that I could be of help, but as I have never had breast surgery I am afraid I can not offer any advice on that. But I can tell you that my thoughts and prayers are with you and that someone, somewhere will see this if you are diligent with your quest and will offer solutions or information.
I too have been badly botched and repeatedly lied to by plastic surgeons, but I was in such shock that I let the time limit to take some kind of legal action pass. Someone wrote on another board that even if you don't receive one penny from the doctor, you owe it to yourself and others to file suit against these doctors to stop this insane behaviour. I hope you keep this in mind after you have eased your physical pain sufficiently.
Anyway, all I really wanted to say was God Bless You and I am so sorry this has happened to you.
