Post Tuberous Breast Deformity Correction

Anyone have experience with correcting this? They want to insert different size implants above the muscle through the armpit and then revise the nipple by taking some of the fat out of it and sewing it back up. Sounds scary........

Why not insert implants thru the nipple/areola area if they're going to revise it and sew it anyway? I think implants under the muscle look and feel more natural. If placed subglandularly, the weight of the implants could cause the breasts to "sag". Any breast augmentation surgery is going to be painful, no matter how the implant is placed or where the incision is. Good luck with your surgery!!

Just read your post. Have you had surgery yet? There are websites that have before and after pics from surgeons, you might find some answers there. I have seen pics of women with tuberous breasts and the after surgery pics are great. The surgery is wonderful for that type of breast. Do some research. Hope you have found the info you are looking for.

Wink Re: Tuberous Breast Deformity Correction

I had tuberous breasts and had implants put in through my areola. The results have been great. The shape of the implant is extremely important. My surgeon reccomended a fuller shape in diameter instead of all the volume/size up front. I still went for the size D and I'm happy as can be. Also, placing the implant under the muscle is a must!! You will end up with saggy tuberous implants as time and gravity break down tissue if you opt for above the muscle. I also had the areola lifted a reattached. Now, the center of my breast is where it shoud be instead of downward. As painful as that may sound...... it was the easiest part of the whole recovery. The pain is from pulling the muscle back and inserting the implant! I was unable to lift my arms above my head for 6 weeks and it was still tender! But.... I'ts just like having kids, its painful.... you recover.... you forget about the pain and enjoy the benefits. The great thing of course is..... your implants don't talk back.

Question Re: Tuberous Breast Deformity Correction need info??

Hey!! Reading all this info about the club that I thought that had never existed. I’m happy to know that I’m not alone. I felted like I was the only one in the world like this. Reading these posts were inspiring to know that getting surgery is an option. I never wanted to get surgery because I thought I wouldn’t feel real but, it’s not that it took me some time to realize that you just want to be normal. You know what I mean?? This has affected my life immensely that I feel like not family, friends nor boyfriend can’t understand.

Before I was given different opinions from P/S doctors about different techniques for surgery. The P/S told me that I needed three procedures if I wanted the best result. I would like know is this true about these procedures in order to get the tuberous breasts fixed?? Or are there other ways??

The first was to get a breast lift, then the second was to release it’s like strings in the breasts that prevented the breasts from growing normal. (I think it’s called scoring like I read from other posts). Then the third is to insert an expander in order to make space for the implant. Out of all P/S Doctors this one the only one to tell me that I had options. But, I was too afraid to get the surgery because procedures and I just thought it would be too much scaring. This was the last surgeon I visited. I would like to know if you get an implant do the breasts feel hard or soft? Or does it depend a particular type of implant you get?
