Saline verses Silicone - Cosmetic / Plastic Surgery Message Board

Hi!

To anybody that has ANY input:

I have saline implants right now, which I love, but do not like how heavy they are and how they wrinkle on the sides. Silicone implants are now being reissued for use. They are not as heavy, do not wrinkle, and feel more natural. Does anyone out there have the silicone or any opinion on it because I am seriously thinking about exchanging them....Speak up

Whoever told you silicone implants do not wrinkle/ripple were either not being truthful or were misinformed themselves.

Although maybe not as bad sometimes, silicone does wrinkle. I just had to have my removed because I had a wrinkle that got worse and worse and my implant was basically folding over on itself. They were silicone.

I switched back to saline. I do agree that the silicone are a little lighter than the salines. But just because you switch to silicone don't go in thinking that this is a 100% answer to rippling. Also, if you do go back to silicone, I would highly suggest not getting a textured shell. Those are much more likely, I believe, to wrinkle and end up like mine did.

My salines feel just as natural as my silicones.

hey there i have silicone, smooth texture, 350cc and 375cc...i've had them about 18 months, i so love them and have had no problems. they look and feel incredibly natural, no rippling at all. i agree with janet about textured wall, for a while those were supposed to be the next big thing but they wound up not being so great for a lot of people. i didn't know salines were heavier...yikes..my breasts are heavy enough

Thank you for the replies ladies! The wrinkling I am talking about is not a constant one, but one caused by movement....like bending over-maybe having them filled more would help-I don't know!! Anyway, anymore comments will be appreciated

Deby, Are your current implants over the muscle? Sometimes having overs can cause that wrippling like when you bend over and you can see the waves on top.
