Hi - my name is Kaitie, I'm 19 years old and flat as a pancake. I've thought pretty hard about breast implants - and I think I've decided to go for it - after the $ rolls in this summer. I'm just wondering if anyone has had implants - and what their experiences are with them???

I just had mine done three weeks ago. I LOVE THEM!! I was a 36C and went up to a 36D. Because I was already a C, I went over the muscle, with the incision along the lower nipple line. The pain wasn't bad at all!! I recommend it highly! If you are really flat, they may have to go UNDER the muscle, which I have heard is excruciatingly painful. I would try to get them over the muscle if you can pull it off. Implants are great, you will love them!

I've had my implants since Nov. 30, 2001. I love mine as well - I'm 31 years old and breastfed two children, so I had A LOT of sage. I was about a 34B after nursing. I went under the muscle and did NOT have the excrutiating pain as described above. Everyone has a different tolerance for pain. I was only on the pain meds for two days and then switched to Tylenol. . the only thing I would say is that you're still pretty young. I was a "B" cup all through high school, but blossomed into a full "C" when I was around 20. To each their own though - just make sure you research (there are a lot of possible complications.)

I agree with sillyveronica. I had 375cc's under the muscle. The surgery was on Thursday and I returned to work on Monday. There are pros and cons to each type of placement. The decision as to go over or under the muscle will depend on your individual anatomy.

That's great that you guys didn't have the bad pain from going under the muscle. That is just what I have heard. My doctor also said it takes longer for the swelling to go down if they are under the muscle, but that's it. I had no swelling after the first day. Sounds like everyone is happy with their results! I don't think age matters too much. I wanted them when I was about 20 and at 30 STILL wanted them. Whatever makes you feel better about yourself, go for it!!!
SillyVeronica, I see you are from Ankeny, Iowa. I lived there for a while in the mid-90's. Most of my maternal family is in the Des Moines area.
