4" scar on neck
Hi there
I live in the UK, and have a 4" scar on my neck. This resulted from a ps in the UK, who did a sub-standard facelift, then told me that I needed a lipectomy (even though I had had the muscle lifted 7 months before with the facelift). I always thought a lipectomy was a 1" scar under the chin. Anyway, I woke up from surgery to a 4" scar on the neck, the left side was in the crease line of my neck the right hand side touched the jawbone. I am now suing this surgeon as I have a lovely 4" scar just about from ear to ear. I am posting on this board because I need something done with the scar. I have been told by my revision surgeon (who performed my 2nd facelift and redraped my 4" scar at the same time) that I cannot have laser on my neck area as the skin is too thin and would result in full thickness burns. Since I have had my face lifted again and the scar redraped things have improved, and my scar is less obvious. But can anyone give me some advice as to how to make my scar less visible, with surgery - I've used makeup to cover it. I have a journal on www.***************.com. When you get on the first page, go down to Visitor Journals, and click on Rhino and Facial, then go to my journal under JW. You can see my blow by blow account of my second facelift, and also photos of my 4" scar on my neck. If you go down to the very, very bottom you can see my up to date photos. Any help gratefully received, jw
