Post Buccal Fat Pad Extraction

Has anyone had this procedure performed (for reducing facial fat)?

I know some people recommend against having facial fact removed at all. But surely this depends on how much fat you had in your face to begin with.

Although facial fat reduces with age, some people will always have too much - so some removal of facial fat would be acceptable.

Many credible Drs perform this procedure, so I don't believe it is never justified.

I have had the removal of the buccal fat pads done about 3 years ago now. At first I was happy with the results. Many people, who hadn't seen me in a while (my family doctors recept.., and old friend.., etc..) all said the same thing, "did you lose weight?" I am not fat, but the outcome looks rather gaunt. I still have high rounded cheekbones, which is sort of a saving grace here..but it is the lower face that in my opinion looks as though it just sort of disappears...I would like to have them put back. But I am against adding anything to my face..The other point I wanted to make is this because there is something else to consider. I am tall, 5'10, 140 lbs. (medium build)..The removal of the fat pads makes my head look too small and petit for my body! That extra fat on my face, balanced me. Does anyone know of a procedure to put that extra fat back, safely?

hmmm...waiting

Hi,
I had my buccal fat pads removed, it did make a big differance and Im very glad I did it, the recovery was virtualy painless and the only bad thing was the swelling afterwards, but that went away after a few days, I had very fleshy round checks and now my face is much much slimmer, in fact people ask me now if Im a model, Hows that for results!! LOL

I'm not sure exactly what your question is, but there is a new rocedure here in atlanta , at emory university, that uses ultrasound to break up the fat cells (the way sports clinics use it to break up blood at bruising areas) and then a needle takes it out. they showed a guy on tv that had it done and he was very happy. of course they only showed him a few days after the procedure, which isn't the end result because the fat is carried away by the blood stream in subsequent months, so the area gets thinner and thinner. anyway, the procedure is for jowels and fat cheeks but i forget the name. its painless, and no incisions

I myself am very, very much interested in this buccal fat removal AND facial liposuction. I am 33 years old with the most fattest cheeks ever in history. This is abnormal and contrary to certain critics who are against this procedure, I think that in my condition and especially at my age, this procedure is completely justified for me. If the (PS) is experienced, he would not leave your face looking gaunt after the surgery. I should not have huge cheeks like this at 33. So, Please respond back to me to the doctor that you went to and the price of this procedure or what you paid. I appreciate it. Or anyone. Thanks
