anyone know what may be going on?
Fat grafting to the area under the eye can be very tricky and lumps are a possible complication. Sometimes these lumps will just go away by themselves but it could take several months. It depends on what is causing the lumping...ie: fatty cysts, encapsulated fat or scar tissue. Some doctors can break the lumps up with a small cannula and the smaller fragments will simply be reabsorbed by the body. If all else fails then some docs will inject the lumps with kenalog but this is a last resort because kenalog can also cause a dent in the tissue so it has to be done very conservatively.
You are probably still healing and I would use warm compresses with a slight amount of pressure on the area until you can see your doctor. Good Luck!
Re: uneven puffiness under eyes After fat Transfer to Cheeks?
Kristen 101, thanks for the info. About two weeks ago, I had fat transferred to under both eyes to fill in depressions arising from lower eye blepharoplasty. Now that the swelling is gone, small lumps have appeared where the injections were made. Is this temporary do you think, or did I get bad work done?
