I had a tummy tuck 3 years ago. It is REALLY PAINFULL but I am glad I had it done. The scar is huge but my stomach looks VERY FLAT. A few suggestions:
Make sure you don’t have a cold or allergy outbreak before the surgery, coughing or sneezing “kills” after the surgery.
If your doctor asks you to bring your favorite underwear to the surgery to help him place the incision in the best place, make sure to pick something that would work with various types of clothing.
Going up the stairs after the surgery hurts a lot, especially for the first 3 days, so consider where you will be sleeping if you have more than one floor in your house.
Eat light things after the surgery so you don’t add to the existing pain.
Have someone be available to help you at night for the first 2 weeks.
