Question Anyone actually getting good revision rhinoplasties??

Reading all these posts about bad revision rhinoplasties is making me nervous. Are there any success stories out there? I have an appointmant to get one next month. I don't want to end up like Michael Jackson. I just want to look normal and than no more cosmetic surgery. I can live with my other imperfections, i just want to be able to walk down the street and not feel self-conscious and not hear anymore insults about my nose. Anyone have any encouragement out there?

Re: Anyone actually getting good revision rhinoplasties??

I'm in the same boat. I'm sure ther's allot of good revision work going on out there by guy's no one is talking about on these message boards. Unfortunately once someones found a good surgeon and had a good result they want to go out and start living life and forget about all they've been through to get there. From what I know I don't think you can go wrong with top tier doctors like Dean Toriumi in Chicago or Mark Constantian in New Hampshire. There's also Rollin Daniel in Newport Beach. All these guy's are well known by their peers and regarded as good revision surgeons.

Re: Anyone actually getting good revision rhinoplasties??

I am also in the same situation as you guys. I'm looking for a good revision specialist and I feel that with all the research I do on specific doctors it gets me nowhere. For instance, I thought my prayers were answered when I came across Dr. Tobias. He sounded to be very competent and really concerned about making me happy, but after reading all of these stories about him, I don't think I'll be going to him because I really want to make a wise decision and not jump into the surgery as I did the first one. The only doctor that I haven't heard bad things about is Dr. Nassif in Beverly Hills, but I don't have the money to go all the way to Calif. I know that it is my face and money shouldn't be a factor, but I'm also concerned with the traveling aspect. I would just feel more comfortable having the surgery where I live, so that it wouldn't be difficult to see the doctor if anything, comes up. I would love to hear from anyone about their revision surgeries whether postive or negative!

Re: Anyone actually getting good revision rhinoplasties??

I'm glad to hear I'm not alone, but actually sorry others have to go through what I'm going through. I'm mad at myself that I didn't find this site sooner cause everyone is talking about Nassif and I already booked and paid my deposit for another doc in Bev Hills. Plus, they barely sqeezed me in because I have a vacation coming up and I wanted to do it than. Ya, I wouldn't feel comfortable going somewhere out of state either. Than you have to have someone go with you, and you just want to be close to home when you go through something like that. I am just praying and praying that God will bless the hands of my doc. He seems really good, but rhinoplasties are never gauranteed, they're unpredictable. Of course, if it was gaurenteed, I would fly anywhere and pay anything cause it is your face, and the first thing people see. There comes a point where we just have to except ourselves though. God formed me and made me this way...for some reason.
Sometimes, what works for one person, might not work for another. The doctor I first went to when I was a teenager seemed competant and good (my mom picked him out). I even saw him on tv once, like Hard Copy or some show, talking about how important it is to find a good surgeon and they were interviewing him like he was so great. I was like: 'THAT'S THE GUY THAT SCREWED UP MY NOSE! Why is he on tv like he's some great sureon?' But, maybe others had good results with him.
I look forward to hear from you both and others on this matter.
