Having these guys do a facelift, browlift, lower bleph and lip agumentation (with fat transfer).
Cost $12,500
Anyone know of them or their work? Surgery is for June 7. Scared silly.

Hi. I saw your posting re: Dr. Kiener and Dr. Sykes. Did you ever get any feedback? I've seen Dr. Kiener a couple of times (for a consultation). I originally was looking at a browlift and lower bleph. However I asked Dr. Kiener what he'd recommend for my nominally sagging jowls. He's talking facelift. This makes me very nervous for some reason. Seems like overkill for a 43 year old. (He never suggested this the first visit. As a matter of fact he said "You don't really have any other facial wrinkles except for your brow".)

I was wondering if you were able to get any more info. Thanks!

On 1-10-2003 I posted an answer to Geneva re: Dr. Sykes; apparently these 2 surgeons are BOTH into overkill. Sounds like they want everyone to look alike....what happened to being an individual? (But one with no wrinkles, etc.) I have not heard of the doctor you named with Sykes; my understanding was that Sykes did all his own surgery (alone).

This orginal post is so old!!!
Since I posted it I cancelled the surgery (8 weeks before it was scheduled) I did not get my deposit back $1200. Expensive indecision.

I have not had the surgery by anyone. Starting to think I am all talk and never will go through with it. I liked Dr. Sykes as he radiated confidence but gosh he wanted to do so much....I thought I needed upper eyes and a facelift....he thought I also needed nose work, lip work, lower eye and a browlift...

I think Dr. Sykes is training Dr. Keiner. Not sure but I saw Sykes in Keiner's office. I heard about both of them through one of their seminars. Never saw a photo album at the office...just a few slides at seminar. Looked terrific and he showed slides of surgeries of other doctors that he had to correct.

It's a hard decision to make. Go to some seminars. Here in the Sacramento area there seems to be at least one a month. You can get a feel for the doctor for free. Ask the people in attendance what they know about the doctor giving the lecture.

I can tell you that while I was in the waiting room one of the patients there was a doctor and he was a patient of Dr. Keiner's. He must be good!

Thanks for the feedback. I think I've pretty much decided to go with just the browlift and lower bleph. I'm not ready to be bruised and swollen (and suffer possible nerve damage...geez..there's almost TOO much stuff out there on the Internet to read, it's scary). I have an appt. with Dr. Owsley in San Francisco. He was listed as one of "The Best Plastic Surgeons" in a book I bought (not sure how objective this book is however). The receptionist at Dr. Owsley office to me to expect to pay around $20,000! (for a facelift, browlift, and bleph). I don't know...that's a heck of a lot of money (and do I really need the "best"?). Oh well..I'd like to go and see what he's had to say. I'll keep everyone posted.
