Aweful Smell from Belly Buton Infection after TT? - Cosmetic / Plastic Surgery Message Board

hi everyone,
i had a full tummy tuck a little over 2 weeks ago. my doc gave me a bottle of anti-biotics to take when i went home.
to make a long story short, i'm on 2 more anti-biotics now and my belly button is constantly leaking. my girlfriend won't even sleep in the same bed as me because the smell is so bad. i know the doc had to make an entire new Belly Button but how long is it going to leak and leak and is this normal or did my doc screw up? i take 2 showers a day, clean it with peroxide twice a day and the smell is still there and it still constantly leaks. i see the doc later this week, i was going to nicely ask him if he screwed up? this sucks!

Did you have drains after your TT? They keep them in for a couple of weeks at times, purely to allow all the fluid build up to keep draining out. I'm wondering if this is a build up of fluids still? Try a search for tuck that tummy. Otherwise talk to your PS straight away. I'd try keeping it dry too. Did you get stitches in your BB?
