Post Cool touch lasers

I've had 4 out of six cool touch laser treatments
designed to stimulate the collagen in the dermis
without disrupting the top layer of the skin.
I understand that this treatment is suppose to
fill in acne scars as well as tighten and tone.
Has anybody had good results with this procedure?

I haven't had cool touch treatments, but I'm looking into them. How were your results?

I've had 4 cool touch treatments since July and can tell a difference in my skin. My dermatologist recommended it for fine lines and some sun spots. When you first have it done, they tell you it takes about 1-2 weeks to see results and that some spots will get darker before they disappear. The first time I had it done, after the treatment, there was a dark sun spot on my cheekbone and 3 days later it was gone! It just disappeared! I was so amazed. My skin looks much better and clearer and almost all of the sun spots are now gone. I don't even have to wear makeup now as my skin is so clear. I have one more treatment next week. I would definitely recommend it to anyone with fine lines, age spots or sun spots.

Tango, I had three cool touch treatments. I think it is a hoax. I also wanted improvement with acne scars and collegean regeneration. They told me not to expect too much until three treatments. Each one was more painful. I think they increase the intensity with each treatment. There was nothing "cool" about it. It felt like being popped repeatly with a rubber band. They were using it to treat spider veins also. I think it may be effective for that.

There is a new product called thermage or thermacool that seems to hold promise but according to some of the threads posted here, some people are having severe swelling and even blisters after treatment but eventually happy with the results. Most of these people are looking for tightening of the skin via collegen stimulation.

I am considering ebrium laser or CO2 laser now. I'm sick of these non-invasive "miracles" that improve nothing but the practioner's bank account.

Good luck to you!

Hi, I had Thermage about three weeks ago and I didn't have any bad side effects. I had a little bruising from the novacaine they injected in my face and a little swelling. It was so minor nobody really noticed. So far I have seen no results. I guess it takes about three months before you see anything.

Also, the doctors that are charging $1,500.00 per area are being greedy. So far I have only heard of one doctors office charging this kind of price and they are in Washington D.C. All the doctors in L.A. charge approximately $1,500.00 for full face and sometimes neck included. Per area means cheeks, jaw, forehead, neck $1,500.00 each. If we were sure it worked it might be okay, but it is still very iffy whether or not this works.

Good luck and hope to hear updates soon. Will let you know what happens in three months.
